Professional Profile: Andrew Hupert
Andrew has spent the past four years as an independent
management consultant and sales trainer in Shanghai,
working with both local and multinational corporations
on improving their sales, presentation and negotiation
skills. He also regularly lectures on sales, marketing,
management and finance topics at various Shanghai business
schools, and is a regular lecturer on the MBA program
at the University of Strathclyde in Shanghai. He presently
serves as Director of Training at MKM Sales Training.
Andrew first came to Asia in 1990 after receiving his
MBA in International Finance from New York University
Stern School of Management. He gained extensive senior
sales and management experience with leading financial
institutions in Taipei, Hong Kong, Kyoto and New York
before he set up full time as an independent consultant
and trainer in Shanghai.
Academic and Teaching Background
Andrew has an MBA in Finance from New York University's
Stern School of Business. Before completing the MBA,
Andrew attained a BA in Political Science with a concentration
in International Relations from the prestigious Northwestern
University. Andrew presently consults to MKM Sales Training,
a subsidiary of Shanghai Business Review, as Director
of Training.
Professional Experience
Andrew's primary professional focus has been in international
investment banking – with a specialty in Greater
China markets. Andrew worked for WI Carr (later Banque
IndoSuez) and Bank Paribas as an institutional broker
on their China desks.
Before moving to Shanghai, Andrew’s professional
career has taken him to Taipei, Hong Kong, Kyoto and
New York City.
